Double click on the downloaded file and it should self-extract and run the setup program. After 30 days it will no longer function and you will either need to purchase it or uninstall it (I guess you could leave it on your computer but it would be wasting a lot of space).

If you need to use AutoCAD and you don’t want to pay for it, try ProgeCAD Smart. It is free, about 95% the same as AutoCAD, and opens and saves AutoCAD format files.

This isn’t the answer you want but something you should know. If you are having trouble just installing AutoCAD you will have even more trouble using it. Like Ron said try progeCAD.

just like any other software, simply insert the disc into your disk tray and a screen will pop up. just pick the install button and it’ll install AutoCAD for you. depending on your pc’s specs, it may take a few minutes for it to install.

after 30 days, you won’t be able to use AutoCAD anymore as a trial. you’ll have to buy a license to keep using it, which is really expensive like $4,000.

if you’re a student like i am, you can buy it at a really discounted price. i bought it as a perpetual license, never expires, in http://www.studica.com by showing them my student i.d. at $360. i don’t know about it now since i bought it back in 2005 and later upgraded to AutoCAD 2007 ($170), but take a look. a license for a year is around $180.

AutoCAD’s the industry standard when it comes to computer aided design, so it would be good to understand AutoCAD 1st if you’re thinking about a career in Architecture (i’m majoring in it), Engineering, and etc.

    i hope i helped, good luck !!
