AutoCAD 2009 Dimension Height?

Does anyone know what height to set the text in an architectural drawing. 3/16″ is too small to see with the naked eye.
I’m using architectural units with limits 30′, 22′.
Any tips on fraction height scale or text height?
Thanks.
Just text height. My fraction scale is okay.

It depends on the scale you will be printing the finished drawing. If your drawing is 1/8″=1′-0″ and you want your text to be 1/8″ tall, you would need to set it at 12″ – but the same text in a 3/4″=1′-0″ detail drawing will need to be be 2″ high.

enter text in to the command bar and it should ask what size you want and enter the size like 1/2 IN
