This is a really dumb question. Auto CAD is a design program, you can’t convert it’s files into excel.

If you want to show a drawing in Excel you could try printing the file to a PDF and inserting that into Excel. The size(scale) of the CAD file will make a big diference in the size of a jpeg, you might also be able to scale it up/down in CAD the make jpeg look better but thats a really crappy solution. CAD is just not made for that as you have seen with your jpeg.

AutoCAD is very touchy when converting it to or from anything. If the excel can do tifs then try to do a tif. Or hit “print screen” button on your key board and paste it in that way. The size might make it crash crash the program. You might be better off recreating it in excel.

A work around would be to hit the print screen button and paste it to a photo edit program such as MSPaint(everyone has that), edit out what you don’t want then copy, paste the pic to excel.

For the life of me, I can’t think of a single reason that I would want to do that. It would be easier to insert the Excel file into the AutoCAD dwg.
