How do I “unfreeze” an autocad internal object?

I have an existing plan that I drew for a client awhile back. The problem is recently a few of my drawing files have become “frozen” so to speak. I can open the file, and move things such as text and objects around with the move command, but cannot highlight then drag and drop with my mouse. It’s very difficult for me to have to completely start over because of this, and cannot find an answer. Anyone know how to fix this or ever run into this situation?

No the situation is new to me.
Did you check your layer lock symbol. If it is in lock position then click on it and get it to unlock position.
Click me on my profile and send your file, if you want me to check in my computer.
