Is AutoCAD bad for my eyesvision?

I am using AutoCAD almost 40 hours a week on an LCD monitor, and I am wondering if this can affect my eyes. Does zoom in/zoom out commands trick my eyes? I am farsighted (blurred distance vision ) and I think my vision is getting worse. If you have some tips tell me.

i work with CAD as well
i don’t think you can say that CAD does it exactly
but i think spending that much time on the computer looking at details of anything will do that

i would go to your doc, maybe you need glasses or a new prescription

to me it’s not CAD doing it, but could easily be eye strain from computer use

Your age may be a factor if you are close to 40.
Have your eyes checked to be sure..

yes… using the pc for long hours will affect our eyes. whether autocad or whatever other programs. we need to rest our eyes after staring at the screen for too long. you can either look at a far distance or close your eyes to relax it.
