Where can I find a REAL guide to AutoCAD products for civil engineers?

I am wanting to find a guide/book that covers AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 and AutoCAD Map 3D 2008 for civil engineers targeted at a beginner who knows a few basics about AutoCAD. Mainly, I’m wanting to access the additional features of these products. Any suggestions?

    Maybe this book would help.

Basically any search engine will be your best answer. I use AutoCAD 3d modeling extensively in my design work and anything I have been stumped on, the internet has solved for me. There is a lot of useful information in forums as well. Other than that, run to Barnes & Noble and peruse the engineering section. You’ll find tons of books there on this.

Harnessing Autodesk Civil 3D 2007 is a good book.

Yes, it is 2007, but the program is essentially the same in process between the two versions.

While on that site I noticed this book as well:
The “Mastering” series of books are excellent. If you have until the end of July when this book comes out it would/will be well worth the price of getting it.

Also, you could contact your local Autodesk reseller to see if they can acquire a text book for you or perhaps offer training:

The text may be a bit expensive (perhaps in the $100 range), but they are designed to teach beginners step by step how to use the program.
