Would it be a good idea to take some AutoCAD courses before going off to engineering school?

Some of my friends are taking AutoCAD classes in the next couple of months on Saturday to give them an edge in the engineering courses later. Is this a good idea? I think it sounds like it will be good in helping us to do better at school but at the same time I think we should be practicing some more math and physics. Then again we could do both? But anyways is that a good idea?

I say do both if you can.

AutoCAD takes time to learn. I mean, You have to really play with the program in order to learn it.

A lot of what you will learn with be electronic, so you want to know as much of that as possible to have a leg up once you’re in school.

You can always stay on top of your physics and trig.
