    it looks like a good program, but it seems to do the job slower than a paid cad program and sometimes speed is very important.

    i just try to use the qcad after using autocad, it took me three ours to reed the manual and exercise. Now I’ve tried to do few drawings that usually take me an our…. it took me 4 ours and it is not finish yet. after all this time i’ve seen that it dose not save in the dwg format so i can not send or recive the drawings to my office computer…

    Thanks for the beginners guide to CAD . Sounds like a very wise idea. I am not importing survery points or anything but I can read, it did say beginner in the title of the video. Thanks again, I was getting confused.

    Yes. There are people how use QCad exactly for that.
    Go to ribbonsoft DOT com then QCad look for Forum then search for “surveyors”.

    When you can import survey points and get contours out of it let me know.

    I Use this cad software and all I can say is that it’s really good. I have produced really professional quality drawings with it.
