How do I run AutoCAD 2010 Architecture (or ACA 2010) as regular AutoCAD 2010?
If you notice the difference between ACA 2010 and AutoCAD 2010, this article will serve it purpose. AutoCAD Architecture (abbreviated as ACA) is formerly known as Architectural Desktop (abbreviated as ADT). ACA is a version of Autodesk's flagship product, AutoCAD, with tools and build-in AEC (Architectural and Engineering Contents) objects such parametric doors/windows, walls, and roofs that are specially suited for architects. Many new users didn't realize that AutoCAD is actually the core program that works with extended ACA plugins. You don't need to install both ACA/AutoCAD the same time , because your software manual actually warns against such practice. You can run your ACA as AutoCAD. In case, you miss to place 'Run as AutoCAD' shortcut in the advance installation setup. You are still able to create a desktop shortcut that will load AutoCAD. Here is the instruction to help you to create a desktop shortcut to load AutoCAD.
