I’m going to start this tip off with a little “back in the day” story. I promise, there’s a point (and a really awesome tip) at the end, so bear with me.
I can remember the days before I had kids and we would work some crazy long hours. There were many nights that we would go out to watch the sun rise after working 24 straight hours, then go back to work for as long as we could. (if you have Facebook, you can read a little more about it at http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=59788889967&topic=6397) Anyway, after we returned to “normal” hours (about 60 hours per week), it seemed like we had more time on our hands than we knew what to do with. So we turned to video games and would play them half the night after work.
I can’t begin to tell you how many “death matches” of Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Quake and Unreal we play at the office during “LAN parties”. If you’ve ever played about 5 or more hours straight of a 1st person shooter game with the music cranked up and you veins pumping high octane caffeine through your system, you know that at some point you start to get a little delirious. Do that a few nights in a row and you might do something crazy, like putting the words “kill” and “Fuzz” in some unlikely places. Like, for example, in AutoCAD commands…

Upgrading to a new version of AutoCAD has always been something I’ve approached with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I love having the latest and greatest version. New tools, new tricks, and more power. On the other hand, there’s the learning curve, things you like and are used to get changed and then there’s new stuff that drives you crazy. One “new improvement” that was introduced in version 2008 was the Reconcile Layer prompt.

I just got back from running and I feel incredible. I love going outside and taking a run around our city’s lake. There’s something about running outside that’s so amazing. I love to see how far I’ve gone. The sense of accomplishment is what keeps me going back. That’s probably why I can’t run around a track or on a treadmill. Today me and 2 of my friends ran just under 4miles.
