Mike,
Hi, how are you? I am in need of some of your expert advice. It is probably something so simple and I really don’t have any idea what it might be. We just got Civil 3D 2009 and I can use it but have never really started from scratch…I haven’t been able to plot a drawing and I know that I have been spoiled by companies that have someone that get all the settings set up and such. Why can’t I print a drawing? I feel really bad and embarrassed! Please give me a clue!!
Thanks,
Leslie

Leslie,
Plotting properly usually involves setting up a Layout in Paper Space with the proper border and the MVIEW window zoomed to the proper scale. When you give the plot command, you need to make sure the correct plotter is selected. Verify you are plotting to the right scale (usually 1 in paper space). You can plot extents if there is nothing outside the border area. Also make sure you have the right pen settings set.
I hope this helps. I will be developing some plotting tips that use video that will be much more helpful.
