Not to Scale (More than AutoCAD)
In each issue of our Weekly Tipsheet, I want to add value to you in ways other than just your CAD skills. My personal mission is to live life to its full; enjoy the company of friends and family; and to live on purpose and with a purpose. Over the past 10 years, I’ve enjoyed coaching others to do the same.
To advance your skills and abilities, you should acquire as much information as possible, but personal growth and development comes primarily through inspiration. Each AutoCAD Weekly Tipsheet will include “Not to Scale”. The purpose in this section is to inspire you to live a life beyond the day-to-day routine; to remind you of the amazing opportunities we have each day as we journey through life; to move beyond living a life of survival, to living a life of significance. In this section we will explore issues ranging from personal or relational growth and development, to health and fitness….all of the areas in our life that make up our “total person”.
Plan to use some of the time you save (implementing these AutoCAD Tips) to get outside and get some fresh air. Do a little exercise or you may need to just relax and catch your breath. My favorite thing to do with free time is invest in other’s lives. Life is better when we do things on purpose and when we appreciate each day we’re given. What’s the point of becoming more productive and efficient in our careers if it doesn’t help us live “bigger”?
I’d like to keep the conversation going, so please give some feedback in this section each week. As we develop this community, I know we will find ways to help each other live a “fuller” life. Thanks for reading.

My personal growth comes from helping others garden in any way that I can be of assistance, whether it is for therpeutic gardening, botanical garden, county parks or just because. Everyone needs to stop for just a moment and look over their surroundings because in every moment something changes and you can’t get it back.

What an inspirational personal mission! Your tips have inspired me to be more inquisitive and know there are solutions to solving CAD problems rather than getting stressed out.
And you are right, sometimes we just have to walk away from stretching our minds, stretch our bodies and enjoy what life has given us.

Thanks Brenda for your reply. Life is short. We all need to remember that work is the “means” to the “ends”. We only get one shot at each day. It’s tragic if we waste many of them because we are too busy to actually enjoy them.

I agree with your ideas, I have to keep reminding myself to expand my life. Work is always serious and under pressure. I need to step away from it to regroup. Step outside and take a breath of fresh air.
I have found Drumming and playing in Bands my source of joy. We make everything so serious. It is fun to Play. Drumming is a good way to release stress that has built up at work…Playing spoons always puts smiles on peoples faces when I play with an old time band. I also host a monthly drum circle to help others have fun too.

It was last year when I realized I was not living the life I thought I was. People that get the least, love life the most. Thanks to some very unfortunate people that I met I start everyday as it would be my last day and each day is more beautifull than the previous one (that includes work) but life begins after I leave work. My goal in life is is to inspire people because there are so many that inspire me. Thanks to you Mike for making similar statements and thank you so much for your Aucad tips that are so great. There are a lot of new cad tricks I learned from you.
